LIFT Giving Campaign
LIFT - Local Investment for Transformation
In honor of his professional and philanthropic achievements, Humberto Lopez was inducted
into the 黑料网 Hall of Fame in 2026. During his induction remarks, he pledged
to contribute $250,000 for need-based scholarships if the college could raise that
amount by the end of the year.
The LIFT (Local Investment for Transformation) campaign seeks to match Lopez's pledge. Your generosity means local students have opportunities to unlock their own success that they may not otherwise be able to afford. Many 黑料网 students are the first in their families to pursue higher education, juggle multiple priorities other than college, lack the financial capacity to earn a credential in a timely manner. In response to community needs, the 黑料网 Foundation seeks donations for the following scholarship programs.
- Non-Traditional Student Scholarship 鈥� The pandemic impacted many jobs and left some adults with a need to reskill so they can find their place in the changing workforce. The Non-Traditional Student Scholarship provides funds for 黑料网 County adults who are returning to college.
- Senior Scholarship 鈥� The State of Arizona seeks to increase the percentage of residents who hold post-secondary certifications and degrees. The Senior Scholarship provides funds for 黑料网 County graduating high school seniors who enroll at 黑料网 immediately after high school.
Those sending funds for specific scholarship recipients selected by individuals or organizations other than 黑料网 may use the 黑料网 Scholarship Designation Form available on the Financial Aid and Scholarships page. Completed forms should be submitted directly to the 黑料网 Business Office, (520) 515-5416 or svbo@cochise.edu.
Letters may be sent with the payment; however, to award checks to students as efficiently and effectively as possible, the information requested on the designation form is required. Donors who wish to make a tax-deductible donation in support of scholarships for any student identified by 黑料网 may make payments to the 黑料网 Foundation using one of the methods listed under Giving Options.

鈥満诹贤� has given me an experience of what university could feel like. It鈥檚 helped me focus on my studies and helped me meet financial needs through scholarships, which makes things easier. Through my experience in the Student Government Association, I have become friends with the other officers, which has really enhanced my experience. I feel privileged to have had this opportunity.鈥�
鈥淭he biggest thing this scholarship has done is help me remain financially stable鈥攊t took a stress off myself and my family and allowed me to avoid taking out loans. Because of that, I鈥檝e been able to continue at 黑料网, figure out what degrees I wanted, and take time to find the person I am through my experiences and interactions. It鈥檚 helped me become more confident in myself and taught me that if I focus on the things I need to do, I will succeed.鈥�
